[The camera spits the picture out. She stares down at it, her eyebrows going up into the fringe of her hair, then up at Caleb.]
It’s not your house. [She hands it over. It’s a picture of Caleb, all right, without the coat Caelus wore all the time—but he’s standing in Aurum Alley, cycranes flying overhead.] I know that place, it’s Aurum Alley—on the Xianzhou Luofu.
[Once he settles into a new pose, she takes another picture. This time it shows the statue in Scalegorge Waterscape behind Caleb instead, bathed in light.]
…huh. I guess it does count past lives too. [She stares down at it and fiddles with the settings some more.] I’ve been taking lots of pictures with this, but only the selfies show places like Belobog and the Luofu—and now your pictures too. If it’s not aimed at someone it just works like any ordinary camera.
